The overall objectives of the project are (i) to support utilization of food plants from spontaneous and cultivated flora in Romania, as available and cheap sources (fruits, vegetables) rich in phytonutrients, in order to obtain anthocyanin multifunctional extracts (phytoproducts with antioxidant properties, improved dietary oil products, natural dyes in textile industry); (ii) to obtain scientific results comparable to those at European level and increased competitiveness in the multidisciplinary proposed area (chemistry, biology, biochemistry, pharmacology, nutrition, textile chemical engineering).
